IELTS Speaking Part 3: Environment & Nature

A 5-minute discussion that widens the Part 2 topic into abstract territory. The examiner is looking for opinions with reasons behind them, and will push back to see whether you can develop or defend a position.

The questions

  1. What environmental issues concern you the most?
  2. Do you think individuals can make a difference in protecting the environment?
  3. How has urbanization affected natural environments?
  4. What should governments do to address climate change?

What is being marked

Every part of the test is scored on the same four criteria, each carrying equal weight in the final band.
