A 5-minute discussion that widens the Part 2 topic into abstract territory. The examiner is looking for opinions with reasons behind them, and will push back to see whether you can develop or defend a position.

  2. Do you think artificial intelligence will have a positive or negative impact on jobs?
  3. Should there be more regulation of technology companies?
  4. What are the ethical considerations of new technologies?

What is being marked

Every part of the test is scored on the same four criteria, each carrying equal weight in the final band.
